BADALKOHL WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Badalkohl wildlife sanctuary is situated in the state of Chhattisgarh. It was established in the year
1975.
Flora
Precious teak forests, evergreen sal forests and mixed forests of different types.
Fauna
Leopards, tigers, sambar, nilgai, sloth bear, chausingha, hyena, jackal, gazelle, spotted dear, wild
boar, etc.
Avian Fauna
Quail, peacock, stork, pigeon, parrot and many migratory birds from different countries.
Getting there
Badalkohl Wildlife Sanctuary can be easily reached from different parts of the world through air, rail
and road transports. The sanctuary is well connected through well developed network of railways
and roads to different major towns and roads of Chhattisgarh.
Tourist Information
Badalkohl sanctuary is open throughout the year for the visitors. Staying options within the
sanctuary are very scanty. The tourists can find different budgeted lodges and hotels in Chhattisgarh
to stay.
This sanctuary is a bird watchers’ delight and bird watching is a major tourist activity here. Always
carry a binocular to view the birds closely. Avoid making noise and always keep silent while bird
watching, or else the birds may fly away.
