TODGARH RAWALI WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Todgarh Rawali Wildlife Sanctuary is situated over Rajsam, Pali and Ajmer district of Rajasthan. It is nestled along the middle ranges of the Aravelli hill. The total area coverage of the sanctuary is about 495 sq km. It was established in the year 1983.

Flora
The predominant vegetation cover of the sanctuary comprises grassland and tropical deciduous forests with small patches of evergreen forests.

Fauna
This sanctuary is home to leopard, Indian wolf, common langur, wild boar, sloth bears, chinkara, star tortoise, etc.

Avian Fauna
The grey jungle fowl is the endemic bird species here. The other birds of the region include woodpeckers, eagles, peacocks, myna, etc.

Getting there
Closest bus terminal to the sanctuary is at Ajmer, which is situated approximately 105 km away. Beawar Railway Station and Ajmer Junction Railway Station are the nearest railheads to Todgarh Rawali Wildlife Sanctuary.

Tourist Information
The visitors to the sanctuary can find accommodation at the Rawali Forest Rest House. Two Swiss Tents and two Eco lodges named “Gallus” and “Cervus”, both located in the vicinity of the sanctuary can be availed for accommodation. Only vegetarian food is served in the Eco lodges.

Dudhaleshwar Mahadev temple located in the vicinity of the Todgarh Rawali sanctuary is visited by many pilgrims and is also a famous tourist spot.

Ideal time to visit: between September and May.
